SELF
Self- is an exploration in self-portrait photography that aims to examine Material Identity after child loss. The examinations and socialization of identity of being a mother but not a parent.
For almost twenty years, I’ve been documenting myself in an attempt to understand how losing my daughter changed my personality, affected my social behaviors, and how education throughout that time changed my perception of my identity as a woman, a mother, a bereaved mother.
