Artist Statement
Baby feet is a 30X30 cyanotype on cotton. This image is a representation of the loss of a child, my child. It is a window into the past, into my past, a window into memory. The cross sections create a cross, a religious implication, a prayer, a dream, a nightmare. Looping the image, replaying, repeating, reliving. Infant mortality is high in our country and around the world. We need to speak out and allow women a way to cope, to heal. to build a community that understands.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
